53rd Youth Parliament, Delhi

Darshan Academy, Delhi participated in the 53rd Youth Parliament under the guidance of Ex MP. Mr. Bratin Sen Gupta and Mr. Sanjeev from the Ministry of Parliament affairs. The young students displayed parliamentary procedure and used the code of conduct while they debated the important issues that concern the nation. The spirit of democracy and its indispensable principle of deliberation was the highlight of the session. Mr. Bratin Sen Gupta lauded the performance of the students. Mr. Sanjeet congratulated the winners of the event and expressed how participating in such events prepares one for the future. During the felicitation ceremony held on 20th September, 2019 in the Parliament library, it was announced that Darshan Academy, Delhi was among the eight meritorious schools whose performance was remarkable. Mr. A. David, Principal, Ms. Mamta Sabharwal and Ms. Chanda Negi, teacher in-charge of 53rd Youth Parliament, and eight students were awarded appreciation certificates and mementoes handed out by Shri. Arjun Ram, the Minister of State in Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation and Parliamentary Affairs in Government of India.


Roti Bank, Jalandhar

To encourage selfless service Roti Bank was organized in Darshan Academy, Jalandhar on 11.10.2019. Students brought roti from home and distributed it to the slum areas of the village of Chugawa. This effort of the students was appreciated by all.


Visit to Fun City, Ludhiana

(October 16, 2019)

It was a day filled with gaiety and great memories as IX to XII students of Darshan Academy, Ludhiana visited the Fun City Panchkula. They sang songs and played games on their way to the Fun City. When they arrived they were excited to see so many rides, and spent the day enjoying the fun, the food and the camaraderie.


Leadership Training Camp, Ludhiana

An overnight leadership training camp was held in Darshan Academy, Ludhiana on 4 and 5 October 2019 for students of classes V to VIII. The aim of the outdoor camp was to help students improve physical and mental health, to foster comradeship, cooperation, discipline, and to live independently. Beginning the day with meditation the 88 students were divided into four groups. Students participated in a variety of activities that included musical chairs, dose ball, and educational games. A spectacular Dussehra celebration was the main attraction of the camp wherein three groups made effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath, while another group prepared a group dance. The school manager, Mr. H.D Sama and the school principal Ms. Rajdeep Kaur awarded the students with leadership certificates and medals.


Roti Bank, Rathonda

(October 16, 2019)

Darshan Academy, Rathonda conducted a Roti Bank Event on 11.10.2019 at Dandia Chauraha. Students of class II and III, along with their teachers, head, coordinator, and office executive, passed out food to those in need. Students were inspired to do such good deeds for humanity.
